Portrait Painting Tutorial | The CHEAPEST Palette EVER - Real Time
In this week's portrait painting video let's explore a very affordable color palette. This palette is a modification of the Zorn palette.
Zorn Palette: Lead White, Cadmium Red, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black
Cheapest Palette: Titanium White, Venetian Red, Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black
Now, the major difference is in the white. With titanium white it only takes a tiny bit to raise the value exponentially. It can be used in place of lead white with appropriate mixing. The venetian red is a dulled down version of cadmium red (in my opinion), but it does create wonderful warm tones.
