Most advanced and accurate MIDI to QWERTY converter

hey guys, just a little showcase of the QWERTY converter in QuantumMIDI which is probably the most advanced and accurate one right now although i will still continue to polish it up. it is based off of the QWERTY converter by arijan because the autoplayer in this game (Visual Pianos) has been designed to work with his format. ive made sure to make my converter in the same way his is compatible with Visual Pianos and instead improve on it. very proud of it because most of the converters I see and have used myself are very inaccurate and I wanted to have a go at it. this is probably as accurate as you can get within the limitations of QWERTY sheets. allow me to introduce a very unique mechanic that i implemented: error diffusion.

because of the way QWERTY sheets are structured, the QWERTY converter finds the best and nearest note notation ("-" for example) between notes and rounds either up or down to it in order to reduce as much time drift as possible. it wants to be as accurate to the MIDI as possible. however, qwerty sheets can only work with a few symbols for its note notations that its almost always going to be the case that you will lose some tempo because there might be a 0.20 beat gap between notes and QWERTY sheets don't have a notation for that and therefore have to choose between the closest ones like 0.25 (-) or 0.125 (no space). what error diffusion does is that it remembers how many beats the QWERTY sheet has lost and gives it back. this way, instead of having to lose lets say 5 whole beats, error diffusion will give back a few dashes or no spaces to reduce that. basically it makes us lose as little beats as possible.
