After 3 incredible weeks exploring the islands of the Outer Banks, we left OBX Campground and headed to our home state of Maine for some very important events!

Though we have crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel many times from when Corey was in the Navy and based in Norfolk, Virginia, we had never taking the RV through the tunnels before and passing those tractor trailers in the tunnel was tight!

Our number 1 reason to get back to Maine was so Lily could take her drivers license test! She passed with flying colors, and we experienced seeing both of our girls drive off without us for the first time! PS. Leila also took driver’s ed and got her permit while we were home. We officially have 2 more drivers in the family!

We were also home in Maine to see one of our nieces graduate from highschool and to be able to spend quality time with the rest of our family and friends. It was wonderful to spend time on Corey’s brother and father’s boats out on Big Sebago Lake where we used to have our boat and where the dream of this incredible life began.

Going back to Maine also allows us to get in doctors appointments and dentist appointments. This is part of the resason why we try to make it back at least once a year.

Corey also explains in this episode why it is important to have a few days in a location after getting work done to your vehicle or RV. Sometimes issues with a mechanical fix don’t arrive until a couple days later, and you never want to be 1,000 miles away needing to go to a different shop for service, or worse, on the side of the road broken down.
