4 Swedish Lone Wolf Ponchos from the 50-60s buttoned up became a great Lavvu. Very spacious. If you ditch the center pole and elevate it with cord or tripod for example, three full grown men can sleep in it. The buttons dont overlap the fabric like the polish lavvu does and I had my doubts about that...but when I set it up and saw the 4 walls I noticed the slight fold over the corners thus making it totally water tight. Brilliant construction. And so much easier to button and unbutton in comparison to the Polish Ponchos. And as I said before...the aluminium buttons are much easier to work with. And I was very surprised about the weight of the 4 ponchos...only 4.3 kilos! The linnen fabric and smaller size of the Lone Wolf ponchos make them half the weight of the canvas polish ponchos! The first thing I did when I got these ponchos in the mail was throw them in the washer and color them dark green. Because the inside was in a bright color. Almost white?! Camo on the outside but the inside shine like a beacon if you raise it like a single lean to shelter? :) Took a lot of dye but managed to get them green anyways.
