Recycling of carbon fibre-reinforced plastics
Carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, CFRP for short, is considered to be the material for electric vehicles. And even aircraft construction cannot be imagined without the lightweight and rugged material. So far however, high-quality recycling for this material did not exist. But according to forecasts, the production quantities and thus the waste quantities of CFRP will triple by 2020. In Wischhafen, the CFK Valley Stade Recycling GmbH uses pyrolysis technology to fractionize the composite material CFRP and to feed it to a full cycle.
