Sinn 104 Loves and Hates: After 2 Years Away Is It Still The Best Everyday German Watch Under $1500?

The Sinn 104 St Sa I is arguably the most popular watch from the German brand from Frankfurt. The pilot's watch from Sinn, by many accounts, could very well be the perfect everyday watch for many watch enthusiasts at the price of $1440. There are other German watch brands that offer pilots watches such as Damasko, Tutima, and Hanhart, however there has alway been something very special about Sinn and the 104.

The dimensions make for a watch that can be used as a sports watch and it could also be dressed up if need be. Alongside that, Sinn made sure to put everyone’s minds at ease by giving it 200m of water resistance. Finally the monochromatic look and syringe hands of the watch are extremely versatile while also being extremely legible.

I bought this watch in 2017 because of the reason laid out above. For me the Sinn 104 was just about perfect and the design from top to bottom was just about perfect. However, small negatives crept up leading me to sell it to my cousin. Now two years after the sale I have it back on my wrist for a little while. What do I love and hate about it?
