Mayo Clinic offers hope for antibiotic resistant infections

The man you're about to meet in this video - my friend John - almost lost his leg to a recurrent infection after a joint replacement. His infection didn't respond to antibiotics. Drug-resistant infections are a serious issue. Before COVID-19 hit, I had the honor of interviewing two Mayo Clinic doctors researching a possible treatment that could be a game changer for some patients. It's called phage therapy. More research needs to be done to learn more about it, but John says for him, the therapy worked.
