In the first episode, we did a large block of work where we essentially laid the foundation for a content marketing system and built the basic funnel.

This episode is a little different because we have lots of little loose ends that we are required to tie up.

These DIY sales funnel videos will continue as we add on more functionalities in future episodes. We will eventually add an entire shopping cart, a members area, product delivery system and more!

By the end of this series, you will see exactly how to build the tech required to run a successful online business.

This is my take on how to build a lifestyle business built with the theory of being a lean startup... So I'm showing you how to bootstrap the tech by doing it yourself.

I'm looking forward to showing you all of these pieces and how they work together over time...

But for right now, we must get all of these small foundational pieces in place first… Which is what we cover in this video.

In this episode, you will learn the following.

First, you will learn how to update your WordPress plug-ins and themes.

Second you'll learn how to add a logo to your Thrive themes.

Third, you'll learn how to create your first page in WordPress as you follow along when I can add my about us page.

Fourth we get into the categories and blog posts... You will learn the basics of setting up your categories and you will see exactly how to publish an optimized blog post.

After this, we get into the menu area and get the word press menu set up in thrive themes.

Then we go look at the different ways you can customize your theme to modify the look and design of your pages and blog post without affecting your sales funnel in any way.

Finally, you will learn how to change themes in case you don't like the look of the first one… You will see exactly how to go get a different thrive theme and install and configure it.

In this video, I had a few small challenges with the image upload function.

Since recording, I did a little research and found that this is a conflict with the chrome browser. I have found a fix for this and although it sounds like a very limited issue if you're having problems uploading to… Drop me a comment and I'll explain the fix.
