setup tutorial:
download the version you want from the archive ( https://about.openwf.io/versions ) and then download the bootstrapper from the client setup page ( https://about.openwf.io/client-setup ) , this downloads the actual game and patches the executable to run custom server related shenanigans

(if you're running a version from before 2018 or so, be sure to go to the openwf folder and find "client config.json", open it in notepad or notepad++ and find the "fallback_graphicsDriver" argument, change the value from "dx11" to either "dx9" or "dx10", if you dont do this then your game will likely crash on startup as it tries to use a version of directx it does not support)

now you need to set up a server, go to the web server setup page ( https://about.openwf.io/web-server-setup ) and download all the dependencies listed, from there go to the root folder where your warframe installation is found (the folder before the one that has the .exe in it) , right click an empty space, and hit "open in terminal" which will open a command prompt, run the specified line on the setup page and open the newly created "spaceninjaserver" folder, find "config-vanilla.json" and copypaste it, rename the pasted file to simply "config.json", now close the original command prompt and open a new one via the same method but this time inside the "spaceninjaserver" folder and run the install command in step 5 of the setup guide, from here, any time you want to boot the server and play the game, open a command prompt in the "spaceninjaserver" folder and execute the command "npm run raw" with no quotations (as with all servers, it must stay running in the background in order for the game to be playable, for you or anyone else who connects to it)

from here, simply enter a fake email with your desired username (examplename@gmail.com) and a password for your account in the sign-in box, it will automatically create an account with the given name and password, so ignore the register button at the bottom

the game is now fully playable, refer to the web server setup page for info on editing save data and world state if you want to cheat (you cheater)
