Coronavirus: Trump says "many doctors" think hydroxychloroquine is successful in treating COVID-19

U.S. President Donald Trump renewed his praise for the unproven anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, telling reporters “I happen to believe in it” and saying that “many doctors” think it is successful in treating COVID-19.

Trump said he’s “read a lot” on the drug and believes It can have an impact in the early stages of the disease.

Trump also denied on Tuesday that he suggested Dr. Anthony Fauci ‘misled’ the U.S. about hydroxychloroquine by retweeting attacks on the infectious disease expert.

He complained that Fauci’s approval rating is higher than his despite him working within the administration.
