A strange secret feature of the IBM Monochrome Display Adapter (MDA)
The original IBM PC shipped with either the color CGA video card or the monochrome MDA card. IBM never told anyone about the secret features of the MDA card...
Turns out the first MDA card was capable of color when connected to a monitor that supported it. In my case, I've hooked it up to a NEC MultiSync. No programs out there actually support color MDA, so I had to write my own for the demo.
