Flickering - What We Need

A dance track made by Flickering.

This came out of the blue. I had the melody in my head and recorded it onto my phone a while ago and I thought it would naturally lend itself to a dance groove.
I feel more drawn to dance music these days anyway and the whole process was a lot quicker than it usually is with my singer-songwriter material.

There are not a lot of lyrics, but the few lines I have don't feel banal to me.
It has the energy of a prayer or an incantation - something you chant in order to give force to a longing.
That's something I often find in other people's dance music too - and it's one of the things I like about the genre.
