Pakistan Launches First AI Cybersecurity Tool | Meet Dexter by SOCByte | MB LearninG Hub

Pakistan has taken a major leap in cybersecurity with the launch of its first AI-powered cybersecurity programme, Dexter. Developed by SOCByte, Dexter is designed to work alongside human analysts to defend against increasing cyber threats. Between 2023 and 2024, Pakistan faced over 34 million cyberattacks, highlighting the urgent need for innovative, homegrown solutions.

SOCByte, which provides managed security services in Pakistan, the US, and Nigeria, created Dexter as a Security Operations Centre (SOC) analyst powered by artificial intelligence. The tool enhances the capabilities of cybersecurity professionals by delivering real-time critical information and responses.

Founder Sulaiman Asif emphasized that Dexter is meant to support, not replace, cybersecurity experts. The launch marks a significant step toward national digital sovereignty and reflects Pakistan’s growing capacity for technological innovation. With local tools like Dexter, the country strengthens its digital defence while promoting job creation and community growth in the tech sector.
