This second volume in the series presents a concise history of notable people and events - and the aircraft - that played important roles in the development of New Zealand's civil military aviation from the pioneering exploits of Richard Pearce (before the Wright Brothers) to the advent of deer farming by helicopter in the 1970s. Included are comments by those who took part in or witnessed the first flying schools, the first trans-Tasman crossings, the first civil airlines, building military and civilian aircraft and developing aerial mapping and aerial topdressing in the 1940s.
Includes a bonus feature: Skylarks over Swain's Hill on gliding around Omarama in 1960s.

This third volume in the series includes original newsreels of New Zealand's military airmen training and participating in the Pacific War, the changeover to civilian flying after World War II, testing the first jets and colour documentaries on the pioneers of rural servicing on the rugged West Coast of the South Island and scenic sightseeing over the Southern Alps in the 1960s.
Includes two bonus features from the 1960s : Four for the Clouds on sightseeing flights in the central North Island and Starlifter South on the USAF's Antarctic flights.
Total running time including bonus features approximately 100 minutes.
