My family and I explored food in Tokyo going to many cafes such a Blue Jams and Ink By Canvas in Daikanyama and Eggcellent in Roppongi . If you come to Japan you must go to Asakusa, It's probably the number one thing to do in Tokyo.
The timing was super perfect we got to see Shonen Jumps 50th Anniversary Exhibition which was only around for a short time.
