Yoon names new chief for high ranking official corruption investigation body

윤대통령, 공수처장 오동운 변호사 지명

President Yoon Suk Yeol has picked attorney Oh Dong-woon to lead the country's Corruption Investigation Office For High-ranking Officials.
Yoon's office announced Friday that the attorney has been named as the chief of the investigation body,.. citing his experience as a judge at Seoul Central District Court, Ulsan District Court as well as the Seongnam Branch Court of Suwon District Court.
Since 1998, Oh worked as a judge for nearly 20 years, and appears to be a neutral candidate who has largely kept out of public controversies and away from political affiliations.
However, before taking office, Oh's appointment will have to be approved by the National Assembly.
