This Vintage Singer 404 Sewing Machine was a minimalist purchase! Lol! It came wrapped in bubble wrap with the foot pedal and a needle. Even the bed cushions and their screws had been removed!

I am not going to demonstrate how to thread the Singer 404 sewing machine! Not today anyway! Lol!

The Singer 404 motor cleanup went well. This Singer 404 sewing machine is in reasonably clean condition. That made the Singer 404 restoration a simple process. The motor in the Singer 404 is the same as the other 400 series motors. I do not have a Singer 404 Service Manual.
I know the Singer 401 manual applies to this model also.
The motor removal was a success, no matter how minor.
