Welcome to Lockdown Jukebox 2020!

Today's tune is from the ever supportive and awesome Colin S - for all the fans of the early 80s songs like this!

We had so much fun recording this tune! I think in recent years it has, regrettably, become a staple of 'that moment in the wedding where everyone is battered enough to dance like a moron with their tie round their heads'. But this song deserves more than drunken dancing!

I particularly loved the bit where you slow down and there's an alternate tune going on. I know this is super high in my range, but we had an absolute blast learning this and hope you like 🙂

For the guitarists - I'm playing in DADGAD and Chris is playing in Standard without a capo using fairly easy chords we found on the internet (after I had painstakingly worked it all out in DADGAD by ear).

Normally, I do the 'Holly Jukebox Challenge' in December every year to raise funds for York Mind. However, now that many of us find our lives flipped turned upside down (as Will Smith said) due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I thought I'd try and spread a little joy from the safety of my front room and bust out some tunes for the charity in Spring/Summer 2020.

York Mind is a small charity based in my hometown of York, UK. Many of the planned fundraising events have been cancelled, meaning that whilst the current situation causes people's mental health to suffer, York Mind will struggle to help everyone who needs support.
