Day 45 of the Legends quest! Today's red cards are a strange pair: one is a bomb with a team-building exercise, and the other is an insurance policy with an attitude.
First up is Blazing Effigy. On its own, this 0/3 statue is a 3-damage bomb when it dies. But the real fun starts when you have more than one, because they can damage each other to power up the final explosion. It's a very weird, very specific demolition crew.
Next, we have an enchantment called The Brute. You slap this on a creature to give it +1 power, but the real feature is its expensive regeneration. For three red mana, you can save your creature from certain death. It’s the magical equivalent of giving your best guy a slightly bigger stick and a platinum-level health insurance plan.
One is designed to die, the other refuses to. What a set!
