Here is a mosfet based audio amplifier that I built a year back as a prototype to look into the possibilities of designing and building commercial versions.

The amplifier is sounding wonderful. On par with some audiophile grade amplifiers.

The amplifier uses C1845 & A992 bipolar transistors in the input stage, MJE340 & MJE350 in the driver stage and Exicon 10N20 & 10P20 lateral mosfets in the output stage in its design.

The amplifier has been built using all the required protection circuits such as soft-start modules, speaker protection circuits etc.

A good quality toroidal transformer has been used for building the power supply. 60000MFD of filter capacitor has been used in the power supply unit.

The amplifier delivers about 70W + 70W RMS of power.
THD is less than 0.01.
