How can we enter the unusual favor of God for this year? Apostle Guillermo Maldonado | 01.17.2021

The favor of God is divine access to places, people, and things. There’s nothing we can do without it. This is the season for divine favor, but will your favor grow or stay the same?
How do you gain favor?
- Obedience
Every act of obedience adds favor. Everyone says this is the year of favor but the question is, will you obey? Favor will come to those who obey God and His word. The areas in your life where you don’t have favor are the areas you don’t have obedience. Favor is the reward for your obedience.
- Service
The person who is not willing to serve others will remain the same. Everyone who serves with a pure heart, God will always promote them. As you serve you acquire favor. If you’ve never served you’re stealing blessings and favor from yourself. But if you serve, God will reward you.
“So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.” – Genesis 39:4
-Relationships
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” – Proverbs 18:24
Sometimes we kill our own blessings and favor because we are not relational. From today on, begin to show yourself to be friendly. Initiate divine connections and build kingdom relationships. Relationships can lead to access and favor.
- Humility
God gives grace to those who are humble. Humility is the total dependence on God.
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6
Those who are humble understand that without the favor of God their prayers won’t be answered. Without God’s favor they are limited in what they can do. Those who are humble depend on the grace of God. However, those who are arrogant don’t think they need God’s favor and they depend on their own ability.
- Honor
Honor is something that should be done voluntarily, it must come from a heart that values that person.
If you honor God first He will stretch your time and money. He gives favor to those who are obedient and those who honor Him. You honor God with your time, money, service, and sacrifice. A form of honor is spending time with God in your day, giving Him your first fruits, being obedient to His word.
If you want to gain favor, keep God as a priority in your life, be obedient, be humble, honor Him, serve, and build kingdom relationships.
