Columnist Peter Hitchens: It is 'extraordinary' how Government has 'propagandised' coronavirus

Columnist Peter Hitchens has told Mike Graham on talkRADIO that the government has 'propagandised' coronavirus to distil fear into power.

In their sixth debate on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Peter Hitchens told Mike Graham that "it has been quite extraordinary how this thing has been progandised.

"I've said before that governments have distilled fear into power. They've spread and created fear to engender fear in the population. And they've made power out of it which they can't control because the power is based on a fear which they've let loose."

Mike, however, disagreed with the Mail's columnist, asking if Mr Hitchens had been out over the weekend. "It was very busy in London.

"So busy in fact that even the police were putting out messages saying the numbers of people in the parks are so big that we are losing the battle.

"That does not tell me we are a nation of frightened people. That tells me we are a nation of people who, when the weather is nice, want to get out there and have picnics and drink beer and eat pizza and ride around on bicycles.

"It does not strike me that we are a nation in fear."
