2000 Las Vegas 250cc Main (VANS Triple Crown Final Round)

This is the 2000 Las Vegas 250cc Main, which is part of the first ever LIVE Pay-Per-View Supercross race.

In 2000, Team Yamaha's David Vuillemin had plans of hitting the jackpot in Sin City (Las Vegas) with the Vans Triple Crown worth $500,000. The first two rounds were held in Phoenix and Minneapolis and David won them both -- famously coming from a 6th place start to rob Chaparral Yamaha's Jeremy McGrath of having a possible chance of taking that $500,000 for himself; at round 2 in Minneapolis (a venue that McGrath had won 6 straight times in), Vuillemin got the holeshot, while Jeremy had to fight from an 8th place start, only to come up 2 positions short of a 7th straight Minneapolis win in 3rd. The final round was to be held in the season finale in Las Vegas, and the only way Vuillemin would get that big check is to take the win; otherwise, if McGrath won the race, Vuillemin had to finish 4th or better for a consolation prize of $25,000, but besides Jeremy, 18 other riders did not want to see this 250cc rookie from France take the big $500,000 prize out of the country. On the other hand, Jeremy McGrath, who had wrapped up the Supercross championship in the last race in Chicago, was going for his own piece of history -- his 70th career 250cc Supercross victory, and his 10th win of the 2000 season. Which would happen? Watch to find out. Enjoy.

NOTE: I do have the full broadcast of this race already posted on my channel, but I decided to chop it into a separate video of the 250cc main just for the fun of it.
