Preparing for Your ASD or PFO Procedure at Rose Medical Center, Denver, CO

This video will walk you through what to expect before, during and after your procedure at the Rose cardiac catheterization lab to repair holes in your heart wall, either an atrial septal defect, or ASD, or a patent foramen ovale, or PFO.

You will hear from Heather Harris, Director of Cardiovascular Services; Lauren Meehan, Nurse Manager, Cardiac Cath Lab; Dr. Chirag Chauhan, Interventional Cardiologist; Staeci Lee, Physician Assistant; Dr. Jason Huang, Electrophysiologist; Dr. Bridget Beck, Non-Interventional Cardiologist; Dr. Christopher Stees, Electrophysiologist; Josh Reynolds, Physician Assistant; and Barbara Sullivan, Nurse Practitioner. When we refer to blood thinners in the video, these include: Aspirin, Plavix (clopidogrel), Brilinta (ticagrelor), Eliquis (apixaban), Coumadin, Effient (prasugrel), Xarelto (rivaroxaban), Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate).
