Former Ambassador Dr. Michael McFaul opens the Lighthouse for Ukraine event at Stanford

Former Ambassador to Russia and Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute at Stanford University Dr. Michael McFaul opened the speaking portion with an impassioned speech at the Lighthouse for Ukraine event at Stanford University. Lighthouse for Ukraine is a worldwide event to show solidarity with and support for Ukraine and to be a beacon of light for Ukrainians around the world.
The goals of Lighthouse Ukraine are to
• Raise awareness for the current situation in Ukraine and be a beacon of peaceful solidarity
• Directly provide services from NGOs, private and public sector in a consolidated environment
• Connect locals and Ukrainians on a local and regional level to build support and forge new friendships
• Enlist more support for Ukraine
