The Alan Harrison Collection Part 37 Dawlish Sea Wall, Devon British Railways BR Diesel Loco Trains

During the summer of 1986, my good friend Alan travelled around the UK, armed with a hefty VHS camera, recording the railway scene. I'm delighted to be able to bring you the results. In Part 37, Alan spends some time on the famous sea wall at Dawlish in Devon. As the waves batter the coastline, we are treated to a procession of trains powering their way along what has to be one of the most famous stretches of railway line in the world. Classes 31, 33, 47 and 50 all feature, along with a couple of HSTs and a selection of hardy and determined British holiday makers sporting rather tight bathers!
