Hi friends, IL Magic Travel is here again!
Today we will travel along an interesting and beautiful route.
Our path will begin on Mount Meron. Mount Meron is the highest mountain in the Galilee. It is part of the Meron mountain range. Its height is 1208 m above sea level. From here you can see the city of Safed. Most of the mountain is occupied by a nature reserve. Mount Meron is one of the rainiest parts of the country. In winter, snow sometimes falls there, which is rare for Israel.
And of course, there are holy places for Jews and Druze on the mountain. Among them are the grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his son Rabbi Eliezer, as well as the grave of the prophet Savlan.
So, we descended from Meron and drove a little along road 89 to the Hiram intersection, where we turn left onto road 899.
This road leads to Baram, an Israeli national park named after an ancient Jewish settlement of the Roman period. The park is located in the mountainous upper Galilee between Mount Meron and the border with Lebanon.
But today we will drive past the park and enjoy the beauty of the road that runs through the Baram gorge. A very beautiful and picturesque trip awaits us.
