Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan has ordered an inquiry after alleged drug suspect Anmol alias ‘Pinky’ was presented before a court without handcuffs in a narcotics and illegal weapons case. The suspect was produced in court following her arrest in connection with drug recovery and illegal arms charges. The court later sent her to jail on judicial remand. According to a police spokesperson, instructions have been issued to investigate the role of the officers involved in the court appearance. Authorities said violations of the law and standard operating procedures (SOPs) would not be tolerated.
