A day in the life of an Australian koala carer | ABC news

Australia has had an unprecedented number of bushfires this season and the plight of the koala has been front-page news leading to an outpouring of public support.

Images of the furry creatures with charred skin, blackened paws and clear symptoms of dehydration have dominated much of the recent overseas coverage, becoming a cultural symbol of the crisis.
