Bridgeport Repaint With a Side of Humble Pie

Repainting and refurbishing used machine tools is a long and difficult process and things don't always go to plan. Part way through preparing my Bridgeport mill for final paint I discovered an inconvenient truth! The original filler used on the knee was soaked with coolant and oil and was never going to be a good substrate for the final coloured coat of paint. This gets rectified but in this episode I can share the equipment, materials and techniques I used to prepare the castings.
