Massive End-Grain Cutting Board Countertop

I am in the middle of a kitchen redesign, where we are adding a small circular island. The designer suggested Butcher Block, and I thought why not make it End-Grain? So I made a HUGE (nearly 40 inch) hard maple end-grain cutting board to serve as the countertop. Some things seemed to go fairly smoothly, while some parts of the build turned out to be very challenging. Hope you enjoy!

After hearing him suggest for the 6th or 7th time to "just film your next project", I decided to finally take his advice.
