CASA BOTTER | What is Casa Botter? Who is Jean Botter?

Located in Şişhane on the popular Istiklal Street, Casa Botter is an ancient building dating back to the early 20th Century. Casa means “house” in Latin, so as one can understand from its name this building was the house Mr.Botter.
What is so special about this building is that it was the first example of Art Nouveau architecture in İstanbul, and was the second building in Istanbul having an elevator in the period.
Casa Botter opened its doors to visitors on April 14, 2023. Currently the building is used as an exhibition hall, as well as a workspace open to public domain with private conference rooms. So you can grab your books and computer to come to study here and get some work done.
