What was in this air compressor? Air brake air compressor passing oil and leaking air.
The disconnected air supply probably was the start of the entire system failure. Contamination in the air compressor and air system snowballed down the mountain. Lots of work went into this job. Air drains added, rebuilding the air dryer and replacing the governor.
