Just five days after Finance Minister Colm Imbert announced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the 2023 public accounts report matter, the Auditor General's legal team has called for it to be cancelled.
On Sunday, Freedom Chambers—representing Auditor General Jaiwantie Ramdass—issued a pre-action protocol letter to Minister Imbert, calling the investigation illegal.
