'Dying To Be Stuckmocky', chapter 29: Another Stuckmocky Joins the Clan

The story so far: Vira and Mirrin have been travelling with Fahyrjeon to its clan's home. Along the way, Vira became a weyrshofft-adopted Stuckmocky, agreed to plafond - a lifelong spiritual bond, and discovered she had the aura of Audra, which meant she was fulfilling her destiny. During a Rizenwikk-induced spiritual revelation, Vira's guilty anguish over killing Stuckmocky was awakened. Mirrin freed Fahyrjeon's child V'hyrah from a cage, and it soon revealed a miraculous grasp of English and also a baby in its pouch. When Vira offered V'hyrah some fruit she was oddly rejected. At the clan home, a crowd of Stuckmocky gathered around and accepted the two humans into their underground domain. Vira discovered that Stuckmocky choose who raises them, and guessed that the sprog Wishoah had chosen Mirrin. She was disappointed to learn her weyrshofft ceremony had passed without any cupcakes or juggling, and Mirrin refused to believe he could make a good parent. A crowd of Stuckmocky arrived with fruit for V'hyrah, who was choosing the second birth-parent for its baby.
