A qualified Substance Abuse Professional, also known as a SAP, plays an important role in that process.

The SAP will:

✅ Complete an initial evaluation
✅ Recommend education, treatment, or both
✅ Conduct a follow-up evaluation after the recommendations are completed
✅ Determine whether you are eligible to move forward to Return-to-Duty testing
✅ Create your required follow-up testing plan

A negative drug test alone does not complete the process. Each step must be completed in the correct order.
