Average Person vs. Boston Marathon Pace

🏃‍♂️ Can the average person keep up with the Boston Marathon winner’s pace?

In today’s video, I challenge myself to run at the same pace as John Korir, who just won the 2024 Boston Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 4 minutes, and 45 seconds.

I was actually in Boston just days ago, standing at the finish line before the race even started. But here’s the catch—I haven’t even run a full marathon yet.

So instead of 42.2 km, I’m breaking this down:
- 100m ✅
- 200m ✅
- 400m 😵

📈 Korir’s average pace is 2:57/km or 17.75 seconds per 100m.
In this video, I’ll show just how quickly you fall behind when you try to keep up—even as a trained recreational runner.
