Why Teachers Quit-No Control

The state of Georgia found that 44% of new teachers quit within the first 5 years. The Department of Education did a teacher survey in 2015 to find out the reasons why. The teachers identified a lack of control over their jobs and classroom as one of the main reasons why they are dissatisfied with teaching. When I began teaching this was not the case. I had a great deal of control over my classroom and my teaching. Now teachers have less control than ever before. #Whyteachersquit, #quittingteaching
