Are tyre inflation kits any good...really ?!

I'm not a big fan of tyre inflation kits but to be honest until last weekend I'd never had to use one. I thought it would be a good excuse to ask the question...are they any good ?

On this occasion it was an epic fail. Either because of me not using it correctly or more likely because the tyre was so badly damaged from the puncture.

On a serious note. What would have happened if I'd been in the middle of nowhere ? I ended up calling a recovery service. Had I had a spare wheel I could have change it in a few minutes and sorted the problem myself.

I'm still not a big fan !
