Akira Kurosawa: The Man Who Mastered Weather
Lots of things make Akira Kurosawa films unique. There’s his own style of filming movement. His dynamic action sequences shot from multiple camera angles, the striking compositions, staging, and, perhaps above all, the preference for on-location shooting, with the landscapes and nature emerging almost as characters in their own way. This is especially what I love about Kurosawa films. there’s just lots and lots of weather and nature.
