Hamilton Statue Unveiling Trailer 2022
HAMILTON STATUE UNVEILING TRAILER 2022
Join the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society as we unveil a new statue entitled “Alexander Hamilton As A Young Man”. Installed in front of the iconic Museum of Nevis History, this statue commemorates the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton and acknowledges his many contributions to the United State of America, a direct result of his formative years in the Caribbean.
The bronze statue was sculpted by the accomplished Benjamin Victor and is accompanied by five informational plaques that give insight into Hamilton’s lasting legacy as well as commemorating the generous donors and partners including The Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society, the Nevis Island Administration, and the Nevis Historical & Conservation Society.
The official unveiling ceremony will take place on July 22, 2022 from 4-6pm, followed by light refreshments in the museum. There will also be associated events from July 18-23 including historical talks, traditional West Indian meals, themed cocktails, island excursions, and more to celebrate the statue and Nevis’ enthusiasm for Alexander Hamilton.
Registration information for individual events is available and will continue to be updated, but attendees are encouraged to book their flights and hotels early. For more information, please visit www.HamiltonStatue.com.
Join us as we “raise a glass” of rum punch and show the world that Hamilton’s birthplace is #NotAForgottenSpot in the Caribbean, but a beautiful must-see for everyone, particularly devoted history lovers. See you in Nevis!
