Intel Core i7 or DX58SO mobo failure help

System failure. Everything else has been ruled out but the motherboard and the processor. Help me determine which one is damaged.

I live in Maracaibo, Venezuela. This city is both hot and humid. Mean year-round T° is around 32°C and humidity is 60% to 80%

My rig was used for rendering, which demands 100% processing capability on all cores/threads during rendering process. Picture this: you can barely open the Notepad when rendering. I use 3ds Max and V-Ray. Never used overclocking because with the standard configuration it was only some 10°C below Tmax.

System config:
Intel Core i7 920 processor @2.66 GHz
Intel DX58SO motherboard X58 chipset
CPU cooler and heatsink: stock
3 x 4GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance -12 GB RAM (not pictured in video)
EVGA nVidia GTX 570 1280 MB
1 TB WD Caviar Green hard drive
4 case fans: front pull (120 mm), back push (80 mm), side pull (80 mm), back slot push
26" T260 Samsung SyncMaster monitor
22.5" 2253LW Samsung SyncMaster monitor

When my system failed it was rendering a 3 sec animation segment expected to finish in 12+ hours. The office is air conditioned to 18-20°C
