Habe schon etliche Videos über die Restauration und Umgestaltung alter Äxte gesehen. Da in meinem Holzkeller noch eine alte Axt aus dem Bestand meines verstorbenen Schwiegervaters lag, wurde es höchste Zeit mich selber an so ein Projekt zu wagen. Dabei habe ich auch die Faszination für Metall entdeckt. Ebenso wurde der Axtgriff neu gestaltet. Hier hatte ich noch ein Stück Wallnussholz übrig. Die geschwungene Form des Griffs wurde auf der Bandsäge realisiert. Mit dem Endergebnis bin ich mehr als zufrieden, zumal ich mit diesem Projekt Neuland betreten habe. Aber urteilt doch einfach selber. Das Video kommt ohne Kommentierungen und Hintergrundmusik aus.

I have already seen several videos about the restoration and transformation of old axes. Because in my wooden cellar there was still an old axe from the stock of my deceased father-in-law, it was high time to dare myself to such a project. I also discovered my fascination for metal. The axe handle was also redesigned. Here I still had a piece of walnut wood left. The curved shape of the handle was realized on the band saw. I am more than satisfied with the final result, especially since I have broken new ground with this project. But just judge for yourself. The video does not need any commentary or background music.
