Test driving the Bugatti Veyron

I have a couple exotic cars. But not one this expensive (north of $2M dollars). I do have a way to get invited to fun stuf. So they had a car in Los Angeles for a day, and asked if I would like to drive it. You kidding?

So we went to the pre-designated location, and a German race car driver took the helm first. Afetr getting me a feel for what's happening, he let me drive. I'm a decent driver, so he asked me to pull over. He said "I'm not supposed to do this, but you drive well so I'm going to let you do launch control. But you can't tell anybody!"

Launch control is bringing the engine up to 1001 horsepower and letting the all wheel drive "lauch" you. In seconds we were at triple digit speeds. On surface streets. I have never felt anything like it.
