Here are all of the mentioned Cosmere reading order possibilities! If you see a small dash, like so:

That means that you can read the books with the dash in front of them in whatever order you’d like.

I NEED BREAKS:
Pro: Allows you to get most of the Cosmere in before Stormlight Archive while still getting time between the Stormlight books, AND it starts you off with two of “fun” Cosmere books/series
Con: Breaks up Mistborn Era 2, and you might forget some of the Cosmere tie ins if you wait too between books

PREP:
Pro: Allows you to read all of the other Cosmere books before reading Stormlight Archive, and it’s mostly publication order
Con: It doesn’t allow for breaks between series, and you might forget some things by the time you pick up Stormlight Archive

EASIEST TO SEE:
Pro: It’s in the name—this order will make the Cosmere tie ins the easiest to see in Stormlight Archive
Con: You won’t read Mistborn Era 2 before Stormlight Archive, so you aren’t getting all the Cosmere, and it slightly breaks up SA by having Warbreaker after Way of Kings. Basically, it’s not the best for binge readers

REVERSE:
Pro: You get to be the cool hipster who does things differently. You’ll appreciate getting to go back to “where it all started” and see everything in reverse. Great for fans of lore and prequels, as well as binge readers
Con: A lot of the Cosmere references are easier to see if you read the other books first, rather than Stormlight first, because Stormlight already has SO MUCH going on.

DEEP END
Pro: You get to start with what a lot of fans consider to be Sanderson’s best work, while still allowing yourself some breaks between books. The breaks between books with this order are bigger than the breaks with some of the other orders
Con: You’re jumping into a massive book first, which can be a big commitment. You also might forget some things because of the breaks.
