The Best Bananas For Florida

I'm particularly fond of growing bananas, having tried varieties such as Thai Black, 1,000 Fingers, Orinoco, Texas Star, Raja Puri, Dwarf Red and others. My friend Joe Pierce at the Mosswood Farm Store in Micanopy, Florida has taken banana growing to a further level and is testing a wide range of banana trees to see which ones do the best through the freezes and will produce bananas outside the tropics.
