How to Paint from a Study | Horse Painting Time Lapse

This week I'm painting a chocolate palomino horse from a study I had previously painted. The piece was so important that I kept it in my personal collection, but enough collectors were interested in it that I decided to paint myself a copy in order to offer it for sale. But duplicating a painting isn't the only reason to work from a study - you may only have limited time with a subject, whether it's a model or a landscape with changing light, and you want to capture accurate color that a camera just isn't capable of capturing.

Either way, working from a study is a great tool to have in your kit, which is why I wanted to show you this process today.
