Sheryl Crow in New Orleans East for build-a-thon

NEW ORLEANS EAST, La. (WGNO) – WGNO Anchor Jacki Jing spoke with famous singer Sheryl Crow Thursday! Crow will be on site at Build-A-Thon on Thursday, May 21 from 9 am to Noon to participate in the build and discuss the Blue Jeans Go Green campaign, an on-going effort to recycle denim into insulation for new homes. Sponsored by Cotton Inc, the denim collected is being used in the Habitat houses on America Street. The program has already seen One Million pieces of denim recycled into insulation (which is quite soundproof – good for New Orleans musicians!)
