Candy: Vans Sidestripe Sessions | VANS

This week’s session features music by hardcore band, Candy. Candy gets into the shoebox and performs two songs from 'Good To Feel', "Lust For Destruction" and "Human Target" plus self-titled track "Candy Says" accompanied by art created by Everything Is Terrible!

With their debut LP 'Good To Feel' CANDY has relentlessly thrashed into the hardcore/metal/rock scene. Since first releasing the 'Demo' EP in 2017, CANDY has plunged into their unapologetic and brutal sound. Touring with bands like Terror and Harm's Way and Year of the Knife, CANDY gained traction with fans and media outlets. Pitchfork described their track “Distorted Dreams” as "murky, headbang-ready riffs, dragging the listener’s neck toward hell." CANDY is currently on tour in the US.

EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE! has been amusing the internet for over ten years by serving viral videos to millennials who love irony and nostalgia. From VHS cuts to create imaginative re-edits, to immersive installations like the Jerry Maguire Video store; EIT!'s innovative commentary has captured the attention of The New York Times, ABC News and legions of dedicated followers. EIT!'s live performances incorporate elaborate costumes, puppets and bring to life their wacky worldview. The collective has worked on seven full-length features including, The Internet 1.0!, and The Great Satan in 2018.

Vans Sidestripe Sessions Season 2 is a global series celebrating collaboration, diversity, and expression through music and art. The two-song sessions feature performances from Vans' extended family of musicians; backdropped by original art installations from emerging artists. Each session is unique in sight and sound.
