ASL Interpreted Shows at St. Lou Fringe!

St Lou Fringe is proud to provide ASL interpreters at their festival shows. Every single act at Fringe has at least one ASL interpreted performance. In addition to this, our wide selection of offerings includes many shows that are very physical in nature! This year, we have several dance companies, from hip-hop to modern. There's even a top spinning show. But it’s up to you to decide what you really want to see!

Video Transcript:
(NO AUDIO) St Louis Fringe is a festival of performing arts. If you enjoy live performance…Hello? You can’t hear me?
Em signals that the audience can’t hear her. She tell them to wait as she bring an interpreter in the screen.

(WITH AUDIO) Now can you hear me?  Good.  That is what Deaf people are facing everyday - watching performances without ASL interpreters   With that, we agreed to collaborate with DEAF Inc. to provide the communication access for all people, deaf or hearing.

St Lou Fringe is a festival of performing arts. If you enjoy live performance – plays, dance, comedy - then Fringe has something for you. Truly.

With thirty acts presenting over 100 performances over the course of two weekends, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. From comedy to dance, theatre to hip hop – the festival is a showcase of the many passionate artistic voices from our city, and around the country.

We are all about providing accessibility to the performing arts world.  All of our venues are within walking distance in Grand Center, so it’s easy to explore. We transform Grand Center into a megaplex of independent performance.

Between shows, you can explore a pop-up sculpture garden constructed by ARTICA, another local arts festival. You can also check out the many nooks and crannies of St Louis’ historic center for arts and culture. Each week we kick off the festivities with a Wednesday Block Party at the state-of-the-art Public Media Commons, the newest public space in Grand Center.

The Festival this year takes place June 17-27. You can explore the many offerings of the Festival on our website, STLfringe.com. You can peruse the whole season, or search by genre or ASL interpret performances. All these performances are outlined in our program guide, THE GHOST LIGHT, as well.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Festival may contact us by emailing buzz@stlfringe.com, or reaching out to us via Facebook or Twitter @StLouFringe.
